Speaking to PrintWeek India during Media Expo Delhi in September, Amit Gupta of Directions Retail Projects said the main reason behind investing in the machine was its eco-friendly nature. The machine uses water-based HP Latex inks and all prints are odour-free. \u201cOverall, it\u2019s the best green wide format machine available in the market,\u201d Gupta said.<br \/>\nIndia remains largely a solvent market. One of the reasons being eco-friendly solutions are expensive compared to their traditional counterparts. \u201cNow,\u201d Gupta explained, \u201cmost PSPs are opting for eco-friendly solutions because the print buyers demand it.\u201d<br \/>\nThis is one of the reasons why Gupta went for the HP Latex.<br \/>\nAlso, the machine offers the options to play with different kind of media, including soft signage. This is an area Directions Retail Projects is planning to explore in the recent future.<br \/>\nThe company has solvent, eco-solvent machines from Roland, HP 5100 and Dilli flatbed printer, among others.<br \/>\nAnd, finally, Gupta confirms that the OOH media segment is doing really well. He gives the example of his own company. Last year, the company\u2019s turnover was Rs 6 crore.
