OVERVIEW
The Atexco VegaPress 660C Pro is the widest and highest-throughput model in the VegaPress C Pro commercial inkjet web press series — covering printing widths up to 648 mm on paper up to 660 mm wide. Where the 440C Pro targets standard A4/B5 commercial print production, the 660C Pro addresses operations requiring larger page formats, tabloid-width content, or simply the maximum throughput the VegaPress platform can deliver: 110,000 A4 pages per hour in single-side Roll-to-Sheet mode at 100 m/min, and 80,000 pages per hour in 600×960 dpi HD Pro mode at 65 m/min on glossy coated paper. Built on Kyocera inkjet heads with a 2PL minimum droplet, water-based pigment ink plus HD ink for coated media, and a fully automatic cutting and stacking system, the 660C Pro is the high-volume, high-quality digital web press for commercial book printers, catalogue houses, and publication print operations ready to move beyond the limitations of offset.

- At 100 m/min (600×600 dpi), the VegaPress 660C Pro delivers up to 110,000 single-side A4 pages per hour in Roll-to-Sheet mode — 37.5% higher throughput than the 440C Pro at equivalent speed, due to the wider 648 mm printing width accommodating more A4 pages per web revolution. This makes the 660C Pro the most productive model in the range for A4-dominant production workloads.
648mm Printing Width — Wider Formats, More Pages Per Pass
- With a maximum printing width of 648 mm on paper up to 660 mm wide, the 660C Pro can handle tabloid (A3) format pages, B-size books, and wider publication formats that fall outside the 440C Pro’s 432 mm printing width. This makes it the appropriate choice for publishers, catalogue printers, and commercial operations whose job mix includes formats larger than standard A4/B5.
600×960 dpi Pro HD — Premium Quality on Glossy Coated Paper
- HD mode at 600×960 dpi, 65 m/min delivers 80,000 pages/hr — enabling premium quality output on glossy coated paper that rivals offset quality for high-end catalogues and illustrated books. A minimum ink droplet of 2PL ensures smooth gradients, fine detail reproduction, and accurate color on the challenging glossy coated substrates the 660C Pro’s HD ink is formulated for.

- Kyocera industrial inkjet heads deliver offset-comparable dot placement accuracy at web press production speeds — fine text, sharp edges, and photographic skin-tone gradation across long runs at 100 m/min. At 110,000 pages per hour, head reliability is as critical as head quality, and Kyocera’s industrial heritage supports both.
Water-Based Pigment Ink + HD Ink for Glossy Coated Paper
- Standard water-based pigment ink covers inkjet-coated, uncoated, offset, newsprint (from 40 gsm), and art paper. HD ink extends capability to glossy coated substrates — enabling the vivid, high-gloss output demonstrated in VegaPress print samples at 600×960 dpi on 157 gsm glossy coated stock, at throughput levels unavailable in any alternative digital print process.
Modular Production Line — Full Automated Workflow
- Like the 440C Pro, the 660C Pro comprises five modules: Unwinder-U1 (high-speed feeding), Tower-1 and Tower-2 (dual print towers, each 600×600 dpi Pro, 2,500 kg), Buffer-B1 (high-speed stacking support), and Cutting/Stacking System-C1 (fully automatic). The complete 660C Pro line spans 13,800 mm (extended), weighing 10,300 kg. VegaRip Workflow Manager controls the end-to-end production flow.
