OVERVIEW
The HP Latex R1000 is a flatbed and roll-to-roll printer purpose-built for businesses ready to grow into higher-value rigid printing — with automatic white ink printing included as standard. Flatbed, sheet-feed, and vacuum belt media handling enable easy loading and accurate media advance across rigid substrates up to 1,625 × 1,220 mm (extendable to 1,625 × 3,050 mm with optional extension tables) and 50.8 mm thickness. With water-based, UL ECOLOGO® Certified HP Latex Inks, the glossiest white in its class that resists yellowing, and removable printheads stored in an offline rotating chamber to eliminate waste between white jobs, the R1000 is engineered to handle in-house production peaks — printing up to 56 m²/hr outdoors and up to 28 m²/hr indoors for production-quality output.

White Ink Without Waste — Automatic & Always Ready
- The R1000 removes the traditional barriers to printing with white ink. HP 886 White Latex Printheads can be stored in offline cassettes when not in use — no white ink is consumed during servicing while idle. Automatic recirculation and printhead cleaning eliminate manual purging, so the press is always ready to print white on demand, with no waste between white jobs.
Glossiest White — Resists Yellowing
- Based on HP internal testing, the R1000 produces the glossiest white among CMYK-configuration printers under $350,000 USD, measured at 60° gloss on rigid acrylic per ISO 2813 / ASTM D523 standards. This white resists yellowing over time — critical for retail displays, signage, and decorative applications where color fidelity must hold up under real-world conditions.

- Standard rigid media size is 297 × 420 mm to 1,625 × 1,220 mm, expandable to 1,625 × 3,050 mm with two sets of optional extension tables (T7V21A). Media thickness up to 50.8 mm is supported — covering everything from foamboard and acrylic to honeycomb board and aluminium composite panel.
Up to 56 m²/hr — Six Print Modes for Every Job
- Six dedicated print modes cover the full spectrum of production needs: from 3.6 m²/hr for 3-layer day & night backlit graphics, to 56 m²/hr outdoor production. Indoor High Quality runs at 15 m²/hr and Indoor Production at 28 m²/hr — giving operators the flexibility to match speed to quality requirements job by job.
UL ECOLOGO® Certified, Odourless Water-Based Inks
- HP Latex Inks are UL ECOLOGO® Certified to UL 2801 — meeting multi-attribute, lifecycle-based human health and environmental criteria.
